Blinded by "my partner'

Our  hearts skip a beat every time they approach and you wonder, "Is this the one?" Given all that tingly joy, it's hard to think clearly and assess the worth, and worthiness, of your partner. Below are tips to help you know if if connection is for real just like mine.Ooops! Forget crushes and boyfriend material, this is for the real-deal. We're talking about a long-term, lifelong love connection.

Chemistry
Presumably head-turning, heart-stopping infatuation is what brought you together; but if there's not a quivering of physical desire - beware. Sometimes best friends become lovers and the security of the match outweighs the lack of a spark. Yet, without that little shiver of juicy anticipation, you won't get through the long haul.

Comfort
While many women turn to their best friend, or curl up in the warm softness of their beds for comfort, it should be an essential element of your love relationship. When you're sick, or your boss goes off on you, does your lover comfort first, advise next and critique later? If not, this is a skill that needs to be acquired to keep your relationship afloat through high and low tides.

Companionship
If you prefer the 11pm booty-call, if hanging out with "the girls" or your family is always a higher priority, you don't value this person enough to make a go of it. For a fulfilling, lengthy relationship, your beloved needs to be your favorite person to spend time with. If not, check in with yourself to see whether you're protecting your heart or are you just not into the relationship.

Communication
It's not important to see eye-to-eye, it's not even important how often you fight. What is important is whether you resolve issues together fairly. Can you fight without contempt, name-calling and hurling insults? If so, you'll be able to work through the problems that strike even the most devoted lovebirds. If not, you'll need to learn how to fight constructively.

Care
You may take great care of your lover, of your children and friends, but do you take good care of yourself? If you take good care of yourself you're much more likely to have a healthy relationship. Does your partner make taking care of you a priority? If your partner is there when things are tough, you can trust that actions speak louder than words.

Creativity
It's natural for each of you to do what has always worked. But in a good relationship, you need to accommodate what works for your partner, too. Sometimes needs are in opposition, and this demands creativity and flexibility. How true is this of you? How true is it of your love? If either of you are rigid, well, you've got some serious work to attend to. Sooner rather than later..

Commitment
This is a tough call in the early stages of a relationship. How do you know if you're really committed to your lover? One way is to imagine yourself at 70. Can you see your love still by your side? Does your heart warm or sink at the thought? As far as your partner is concerned, if they don't speak of a future with you or you're not introduced as "my partner," this person is not committed to you.

Even after running your relationship through the seven points above, it can be hard to know if any troublesome aspects will be resolved as your love grows. But whatever, what is important is you’re happy with your partner. Afterall I believe  that destiny comes from our desires no matter how people tries to influence us to so this and that. Just a piece of advice, if you think he’s or she’s the right one, then, go ahead. KEEP THE BATTLE GROUND SHAKING!

your POWER NUMBER

Once you've figured it out, you're on your way to learning a lot more, not only about yourself, but about loved ones, co-workers and friends. I’ve tried this one why don’t you try once? While I’m doing this, it made me excited!

It is also known as your life path or destiny number, your power number is simply the sum of the month, day and year you were born. To unlock a whole universe of fascinating insights, add your birth date numbers together, and then again, until you have a single digit. The only exception would be if you end up with the numbers 11 or 22 - those are master numbers with an added dimension, so write them as 11/2 and 22/4.

Let's say you were born on January 31, 1962. You add 1 (January is month number one) + 31+ 1962, which equals 1994. Then add 1+9+9+4, and you have 23, which you then add together to get 5 - and presto… you have your power number. Each reveals skills and gifts that you can call on any time, anywhere, like an ace in the hole or a secret weapon, as described in the sketches below.

1 = creation and individuality. 1's are the idea people, the startup entrepreneurs, the ones out in front of the pack who may not even notice the pack following along behind. You want to start a new branch or department? Get a 1, but be prepared to find another power number to keep it running later. Most compatible with 3, 5, 8, 9, 11/2 and 22/4.

2 = cooperation and diplomacy. Relationships are supremely important to 2's. They are sensitive, receptive, deeply emotional and sometimes quite shy. With their profound insight into the nuances of people's behavior, they make wonderful, giving mates, parents, business partners and mediators. Most compatible with 4, 6, 8, 11/2 and 22/4.

3 = self-expression. 3's are charming, creative, often beautiful and masters of the art of conversation. They are great writers, performers and public speakers, and they have a gift for enjoying life and helping others have just as much fun. They don't have to seek the spotlight; it automatically picks them out of a crowd. Most compatible with 1, 5, 6 9,11/2 and 22/4.

4 = self discipline. Hard working, reliable and organized, 4's enjoy putting their skills to work on the practicalities of life, and they can be counted on to keep things running like a well tuned machine. Their home and roots are vital to them, and their loyalty, once given, is unshakeable. Most compatible with 2, 6, 7, 8, and 22/4.

5 = freedom and change. If you want to learn the art of picking yourself up, dusting yourself off, and charging at life with renewed zest, get to know a 5. They are resourceful, versatile, adaptable and love change and surprises. Although they're very sexy, keep in mind that their eyes always return to the distant horizon. Most compatible with 1, 3 and 9.

6 = service and social consciousness. At their very best as teachers, healers and counselors, 6's are devoted to both their personal families and the larger family of Earth dwellers, human and otherwise. Their concern for truth and justice doesn't, however, keep them from being enthusiastic and talented homebodies. Most compatible with 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 11/2 and 22/4.

7 = intellectual and spiritual development. The ultimate ivory tower dwellers, wise 7's are much more familiar with the inner space of the mind than the external world. Whether their intense scrutiny is focused on science, philosophy, or metaphysics, they're most excited when they explore the secrets of the universe. Most compatible with 4.

8 = material success. This power number opens the door to high achievement in business and finance. Blessed with good judgment, exceptional executive ability, and a talent for turning a profit, 8's at their best wield their natural authority for the benefit of their employees and the community. Most compatible with 1, 2, 4, 6, 11/2 and 22/4.

9 = universal awareness. 9's have an active, often spiritual concern for global health and well being. As the number 9 represents the mathematical completion of a cycle, so do 9's represent the completion of a cycle of learning, having lived each of the other power numbers in previous lives. They are compassionate, tolerant and generous, and can be accomplished artists and thinkers. Most compatible with 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 22/4.

11/2 = visionary idealism. The artistic and inventive genius of 11/2 is married to the sensitivity and intuition of its base number, 2. These visionaries see outside the boundaries of society and culture and literally and figuratively paint alternative futures for us. They work best when grounded by a practical partner. Most compatible with 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9 and particularly 22/4.

22/4 = practical idealism. These geniuses not only see the future, they create it. Their orientation is universal, and their mastery of the material world enables them to put their charisma and personal power to work in service to all mankind. They are found in the highest echelons of government throughout the world. Most compatible with 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and especially 11/2.

Like any divination system, numerology has many layers you can explore. Your name can reveal three layers of your personality. And your life evolves through challenges, pinnacles and personal years. There are even karmic numbers. As you'll learn when you tinker with this Power Number information, numerology is rich with insights and, even better, one of the easiest divination systems to learn and use at many levels.

how to spot a big LIAR?!

I am currently connected with one of the most aspired government controlled corporations nowadays. As an employee, one of our daily transactions or routines is to entertain clients. However, as a public servant, you need to be courteous, patient enough and the hard thing is to act as if you’re okey even if you’re not.  Sometimes, you want to squeeze and shout someone but apparently and in reality we’re forbidden to do so since that what’s have been practiced in the company and for the sake of public “ethics”.

However there are some instances that you can’t help but to pinch your skin out of angry at someone because you can’t yell to them. As what the great “someone” say; “our clients are always right”. Moreover, there are many cases that clients are already accusing us of something and worse, they make scenes out of the blue. Promise, these scenes would really make you green, horrible person than you could ever imagine. These clients are could be entertained either thru phone or personally right in front of you. But the hard and very difficult to entertain are those obviously and vehemently committing LIES.

And so, I want to share with what I’ve found on net while I surfing tonight. This are tips on how to spot liars, not just in our working environment but as well as to those whom we meet regularly if not strangers.

If a person touches his nose, or covers his mouth, is he lying? In some cases yes, this can be an indicator.

It is all about calibration.

What is calibration?

When looking for a lie, you need to know what a person does when they are telling the truth. If a person uses their hands when they talk, or their eyes dart around when they are having a comfortable conversation, you can calibrate their mannerisms, voice, tempo and eyes for honesty. Notice their normal mannerisms when you know they are answering the easy questions and telling the truth. This is the most critical part.

When you suspect that someone is lying, you will compare their dishonest response to the way they respond when telling the truth.

Hands, head position, voice level, eye positions, shoulders, everything will be a signal when you know what to look for.

You need to make note of the differences in behavior that shows that an internal conflict is happening. When there is a conflict, the brain does not respond normally. It creates signals that make it impossible for the person to keep the same mannerisms, voice tone , head position, all in a congruent state as the lie is told.

Typical body language that reveals an internal conflict:

Hands over mouth
Hand to nose
Hand to ear
Hands or fingers moving, wringing, tapping
Head tilt to side
Head turned away
Body moving backwards
Blink rate increases
Pupils contract
Eyes go down to left or right
Eyelids stay closed during the answer
Voice tone rises
Clearing the throat

Do these things mean a person is lying? Not necessarily.
It depends on the calibration. Remember you are looking for the differences- the thing that the body does because there is an internal conflict that causes involuntary "leakage" of the emotional charge.

Words can be a great indicator that a person is about to lie:

Answering your question with a question
Repeating the statement, rather than answering
Say "I am telling you the truth
"I will not lie to you"
Accusing "Are you saying I am lying?"
Stammering, stuttering, and pausing before answering
Pointing while answering

The sound of the voice

Voice raises due to tightness of vocal chords.
Anxiety makes voice squeaky or raspy
Mumbling

Eyes

Eye position
Blink rate increasing
pupils contracting
Looking down to left or right (depending on whether the person is right or left handed)
Eye twitch- involuntary
Staring into your eyes (look for leakage immediately)

These signals alone do not mean a person is lying. If you have calibrated properly, you will see the immediate and obvious change, or combination of behaviors that mean they are lying. Remember, it is all about the way the person tells the truth, that will tell you when they are lying.

Some people think that they can lie by looking you right in the eyes. But, guaranteed, something else will give. Even if they have practiced lying there will be a signal somewhere else.
A face that lacks expression can be covering up the lie- but the lack of expression and the lack of micro muscle movements can be the dead giveaway.

If you learn how to detect a liar, the clues will be obvious. You will wonder how you never noticed such OBVIOUS signals before. Learn from the video and then create your own internal lie detector that will take all the signals, calibrate them unconsciously and then you will know- is it truth or lie?

EDENS' HIKING TRAIL

Have you experienced EDEN’s Hiking Trails?

This is the most unforgettable walk with my friends in Grad school.

It was 5pm when we already woke up to get ourselves ready for the 4K-walk. This was also the right time to bond with friends and of course…. someone dear to your HEART while enjoying the trail having a small map as your guide. Surely, this will test your ability to follow instructions and arrows as shown on the map. The yellow line on the map below is the trail that you must to follow in order for you to achieve the GOAL…to finish it!

However, the picture below is the evidence how early we started the trail. Is it cool? Yadda, yaddah! Honestly it was really cold? It made me shiver! Like this…

So here we are, let’s start!

To start with, you need to pass the long, steep and slimy stairs down to a manmade mini-water falls. You can’t see it here because it’s behind the stairs. Together with me is Toni, my seatmate which I introduced to you, guys, on my previous blog.

Ahead is a hanging bridge that will capture and full your heart with excitement as it shakes you when you pass it. See that picture? I got it! That’s why I was not there. I hold the camera. I took a picture of this guy out of shame... hahah. Joke.

Ahead of it are big, tall stones that gives you a little way for you to pass. Just imagine a 1 between two 0s. You are the 1 and the Os are the stones. The way is only good for 1 sexy body (joke). Aside from it, it is also slippery. So, always keep your balance and keep yourself FOCUS!

The trail doesn’t stop there, you have to walk a lot. Like this. I feel like a celeb (in our province) . Look like I’m in a park. Oh no!

After a few-meter walk, I need to rest. Thanks God. I can now have my next picture. Surely, I don’t have to sleep even though I really feel tired…my friends might gonna leave me, mamma.

And so let’s have another walk. This picture is taken beyond the fruit-bearing trees--??? (I already forgot it na!). It’s not just a short walk, honey, it was long…so, I need to rest again, and anyway it’s not a contest…Let’s rest again, friends.

And another rest…with my classmates.

This place is just one of the sites you will have to pass. You’ll be surrounded with big and very tall tree overcoming with tall grasses and accompanied by slippery trail.

I want to rest, let me have his position. Don’t you see it? It’s so steep. I find it hard to overcome this trail. I wonder how many minutes i already spent walking.

But I was not alone. Look at them. Look at their positions and karina’s bottled water. See? They also feel exhausted…but how come they manage to smile?

Oh never mind! What I know is that I want to hug this tree. Mwah! This is my baby!

What’s next? Of course, a stop…again… to take picture and make a deep breathe. Hmmmm…. Hoooo!...

We need to stop because behind this place is a very steep hill. See the caution behind us?  LONG UPHILL CLIMB AHEAD.

Here we go! That’s was indeed an uphill. I need a rod. I need Jacob’s rod. Hehehe…

And the next stop? The Lola’s Garden. Welcome my dear FRIENDS! Peace for everyone.

Ah! I don’t want to walk… I want to ride with a carabao, Benna. Go, go, go, Karina! Let’s go somewhere else before the owner caught us.

This is what I really admire most…to see Lola’s Garden. Veggies here are fresh. I want to bring them home na!

I don’t know what kind of flowers are these…but I insist to have picture with them. See? Just like a ghost! Awoooo!!

But before I leave Lola’s garden, I need to have a picture…remembrance? ‘coz I know I can never have such wonderful trail like this. If given a chance to do this again, it would totally be different.

After 1 and a half hour, you can now reach the Matinlo Pond. Would you imagine that actually it’s not really natural… it’s manmade. EDEN is actually about 95% manmade. It’s awesome.

And now, we are at one of their Villas. Hope I could sleep here even just a night. Hope I could arrange some things this December and treat my whole family in this place.

Ha! At last we are now approaching the END. This is a short bridge that leads us to where we started.

And so, Jully…

 CONGRATUlATIONS!

YOU HAVE SURVIVED EDEN NATURE PARK’S 4.058 KM MOUNTAIN TRAIL.

I'm in GREAT PAIN

I am in PAIN right now. I have a dysmenorrhea. In fact, I’m on a half-day leave from my work since I could no longer bear the pain. I feel like dizzy. This makes me feel bad and acts like a monster yearning to devour something who looks like me, too. And so, here I am looking and making ways to entertain myself so not to think about the pain (not just to feel it). I surf the net about my current battle. I need to be educated what happened to my dear sexy, devilishly HOT body? Here, I found some of the informative issues about DYSMENORRHEA. I got this from HEATH AND DISEASE INFORMATION site link at the bottom of this blog.

Anyway, what is dysmenorrhea? The term menstrual disorders refers to any of a number of conditions that are related to the menstrual cycle. Menstruation is the shedding of the lining of the uterus (the endometrium) each month, also referred to as the menstrual period. Menstrual periods usually last for five to seven days. Dysmenorrhea is the term used to describe painful menstrual periods. There are two types of dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea has no underlying cause. Secondary dysmenorrhea is caused by an underlying gynecological disorder.

What causes it?

To understand dysmenorrhea, it's important to understand how the menstrual cycle works. Each month, the lining of the uterus, the endometrium, thickens to prepare for the egg that is released by the fallopian tubes. If the woman does not become pregnant during that cycle, then most of the endometrium is shed and bleeding occurs. The blood flows from the uterus, through the cervical canal, and out through the vagina. Primary dysmenorrhea occurs when the uterus contracts because the blood supply to the endometrium is reduced. This pain occurs only during a menstrual cycle where an egg is released. If the cervical canal is narrow, the pain may be worse as the endometrial tissue passes through the cervix. Pain can also be caused by a uterus that tilts backward instead of forward, low levels of physical activity, and emotional stress. Secondary dysmenorrhea can be caused by the growth of uterine tissue outside the uterus, called endometriosis; non-cancerous growths of muscle and fibrous tissue in the uterus, called fibroid tumors; the non-cancerous growth of the uterine lining in the muscular wall of the uterus, called adenomyosis; inflammation of the fallopian tubes; and the growth of scar tissue, or adhesions, between organs.

What are the symptoms?

Shortly before or in the beginning of the menstrual period, a woman with dysmenorrhea experiences cramps in the lower abdomen. The pain can be continuous, or may come and go, and may extend to the lower back and legs. The pain can be accompanied by headache, nausea, diarrhea or constipation, and the need to urinate frequently. In severe cases, dysmennorhea also causes vomiting and makes it difficult for the woman to participate in her normal activities. Symptoms are usually at their worst 24 hours after beginning, and stop after 2 days. Women with dysmenorrhea are more likely to pass blood clots from the lining of the uterus, which causes more pain.

What is the treatment?

The treatment of dysmenorrhea depends on the cause of the problem. In most cases, symptoms are relieved by nonprescription anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofren, naproxen, and mefanamic acid. If you know you have a history of dysmenorrhea, your doctor may recommend taking these medications up to two days before your menstrual period begins, and continuing them for one to two days after it begins. It's important to continue to get plenty of rest, follow a good diet, and exercise during your period. Women with primary dysmenorrhea that is so severe it interferes with daily activities may benefit from a low-dose birth control pill. Because birth control pills prevent an egg from being released each month, the menstrual period is generally lighter and lasts for a shorter time. Secondary dysmenorrhea is relieved by treating the cause. For example, fibroid tumors can be shrunk with hormone therapy, or may be surgically removed. Where fibroids are extremely large or cause severe pain, the entire uterus may need to be surgically removed. This procedure is called a hysterectomy, and is also used to treat severe endometriosis. A woman who has had a hysterectomy can no longer conceive a child. Inflammation of the fallopian tubes is treated with antibiotics. Imagine?

I believe mine has something to do with what I ate these previous days. I really act and look like a pig MoNSTerespecially when green mangoes are just in front of me waiting to be devoured. Hmmmmm…yumyum.. they are just too enticing to my eyes and succulent to my mouth….I’ll promise…. I will not……………. hinder myself NOT to eat them.heheh.

wait for me

Have you ever tried to zip line? How your ever tried it from a cliff down to blue waters? Me? Yes, I did it. it was really so fun.

And the evidence?...

It was so awesome. It was my first time in waters…at that time I was really afraid what will happen next. I’m not yet ready to be a dead meat. I haven’t done yet my last will and testament. What will happen with my treasures and my real estate business if I’ll die? How about my employees? Oh no! That was horrible for me. I want to laugh.

Want another video?

Though this video is not as good as the first video presented, the important is ... I kept a copy of that video from a friend. Thanks, Dennies.

Anyway, I want to share this picture to you, guys. This was taken when we were at Kaputian, Samal, Davao del Norte. It is a 3 to 4-hr trip from Davao City.

Whoa! I really wanted to do this even before. If given a chance, I want it higher and very long line like this ____________________. Just imagine want I really want.

I hope you, too, guys to try it.

I love DAVA!

PEACE!

Express your affection

Not all of us understand and know what our “partners’ think and feel about us. This only explains how unique a person is. Thus, this only entails that each individual has its own mark and identity.

I don’t believe that when there’s a “mutual understanding” happens, it doesn’t necessarily mean the first party, for instance, will understand and subjectively conclude something which he or she believe the other party is thinking and saying about her or him. What I’m arriving at is that, when it comes to LOVE…expression of one’s feelings and thought is also necessary to build your relationship’s foundation as stronger as and better than we think.

As emotional as I’m now, I would like to share some of the passionate quotes I like below.

Love comes from within your heart and soul.
It's a feeling that you have never experienced before
You feel something which can not be explained
And it remains with you therefore it won't fade away
Love is when the two heart and soul become as one
You know when you are in love as you your heart feels it.
Don't be afraid to listen to it.

The magic of lyf is not hw happy u r, but hw happy others r bcoz of u!

Look deep into her eyes and say this in a soft voice. "Why do I find myself Lost in your eyes, when it is you who wanders through my mind."

LOVE or HATE?

It is overwhelming when we are in LOVE but it is more devastating when we are falling into pieces. To be in LOVE is to let yourself open to the possibilities of working things smoothly. However, it closes our minds to those possibilities that turning our world to be SHUTTERED! Why? Because we are afraid to face the truth …that what we have expected may not be realized after all, not to be in a right track…and the hardest of all is to experience how to be HURT!

But will the “HURT” feeling suppress our essence of being a human? NO! It only entails that we are, indeed, a real human created to LOVE and be LOVEd, to hate and he hate …but of course, we are created to laugh and cry, take a risk and sometimes need to fall inorder for us to LEARN.

However, do you believe that the opposite of LOVE is HATE?

For me, it’s a NO NO.  It’s the ANGUISH that opposes LOVE. When we are angry, we sometimes cross the line and think irrationally. Thus, it makes us a Monster, feel like a Monster… and act like a Monters. Thus, this will lead us to HATE.

And so, that’s how hate and LOVE compliments to each other. When we both feel them, we realize that as a human, we have set of limitations and the so-called unconditional LOVE to one another is hard and impossible to achieve.

Hate and LOVE are just a line apart. They are actually very close cousins. We may either HATE to LOVE or LOVE to HATE. But what’s the difference of the two? The former is the aftermath of a frequent downfall...Like? …brokenhearted, perhaps. Not just once, not even twice but FREQUENTly …to be fooled by someone else. However, the latter is sometimes a manifestation of jealousy and bitterness.

But, if I really have to choose between the two… I rather choose the words “in between” which is to LOVE or LOVE.

Social Climber

There are some people who are not contented for what they have; their desires and ambition filled them with lies. They pretend to be perfect and rich, and a type of kneel-down person. They want to achieve their dreams in order to attain happiness with their heart. But their conscience will slowly kill them. Time and time they will anxious and envy to their selves until they died without any real achievement that perseverance can do so...... are you one of them?

But me? I’m, indeed, a SOCIAL CLIMBER!

And the evidence….

This was taken on mid-August of this year. This was at taken by my officemate and friend, Denies. This was my first time to do rappelling. Just imagine the heights… the water after you, the air…hmmm. In fact, that was about 100-meter high…but look at the picture, that was the extreme and already a superb for me ( as of the moment since I want to try another and better challenging and extremely high cliff).

However, the picture below was my first time to do the rapelling alone. imagine...my FIRST TIME and it was soooo scarry...But look at me? Do i really look like going to be fainted? it's the other way around, girl! Deep inside I was  not just scared but really, really scared but the picture  itself manifested a very brave "LIVING THING".

Want another pic?

whoa! i love blue waters!  Dont you love it?

i love the reflection! the dark blue right down there entails already a very deep sea.. how could i imagine? i wish  I know how to swim... but anyways if things go negatively...hmmm. i think the boat nearby will save  this "Living Creature, the SOCIAL CLIMBER herself..Jully abbot!

so......

Want to try such AdVeNtUrE?

Why not pack your things, bring your group and have fun at the Extreme Samal Adventure in Kaputian, Samal, Davao de Norte. It is about 3 to 4-hour drive from Davao City.

ENJOY!

Beware the Back-Stabbing Coworkers

Think you've been stabbed in the back at work? If so, you're not alone.

Even how you make you job so good and too good to be perfect, things are not meant to be smooth even in our working place. Our good deeds and proper working attitudes are not just enough to please some of our co-employees. Perhaps, many will be your friends but beware…most of them are not true. Thus, they are just good to be true.. too good in front of you. This I’ve experienced from my past organization and close colleagues.

I was browsing the net when I lucky found Larry Buhl’s article about sabotage. He mentioned some manifestation of such cruel and ill-fated back fighters.

"Sabotage can happen in any organization, but some forms are special to the industry," Namie says. "In creative fields, it may take a passive form, such as not contributing to the group effort. In health care, a seasoned professional may withhold vital information, which not only hurts the new employee but also affects patient care."

Workplace saboteurs come in several types, including:

  • Belittlers, who hurl put-downs, demeaning remarks and disparaging comments.
  • Credit thieves, who steal your ideas and grab the glory when a project is successful.
  • Finger pointers, who pin the blame on others when the project goes wrong.
  • Rumor-mongers, stirring up drama by spreading lies and half-truths that destroy reputations.
  • Slackers, who shirk responsibility and foist duties onto others.
  • Scorched-earth managers, who will undermine or even fire a smart, capable worker when they feel threatened by brains and talent.

So, how to deal with them?

How you handle sabotage or other bullying can affect your career prospects. You don't want to come across as a pushover, but you shouldn't overreact either, according to Megan Slabinski, executive director of The Creative Group.

"Not everyone who slights you is doing it on purpose," Slabinski tells Yahoo! HotJobs. "Before you confront someone, see if you may have played a role in the problem, or if your colleague wasn't aware of the issue. It's also wise to ask a mentor for candid feedback."

Slabinski also recommends looking for patterns before crying foul. "If it's happened a few times, it's definitely time to speak up. If someone is purposely trying to make you look bad, you want to let him or her know that you're aware of the situation, and you're not going to let it continue."

How to defend yourself against them?

If you're certain you've been the target of sabotage, Namie offers several remedies:

  • Get allies. Know that the bully will have allies, so you'll need all the back up you can get.
  • Go three levels up, if possible. A bully's boss may be in on the game, so go above their heads to make your case.
  • Don't get personal. "Instead of saying how you were hurt by what happened, show how sabotage is causing the business to suffer," Namie says.
  • Ask for protection. Again, make your case business-related, not personal, and explain that your productivity can improve if you're not constantly looking over your shoulder.
  • Prepare for your next job. Unfortunately, whistle blowers can be blamed for their own fate. If things go from bad to worse, know that you may have to leave the job you love.

have you already started to find out???

THE INDIVIDUAL AND ORGANIZATION: Some Problems of Mutual Adjustments

It is really big problem to deal both with the individuals and the formal organization. The latter already exists before hiring these individual to take part of the latter. It means that they are already rules and regulation with the expectation that formers will abide with. But the problem exist since most of this individual have influenced by external factors such as norms, culture, law and etc. they brought up into being with different and totally diverse from one to another.

Further, these aforementioned individuals act, talk, think relatively different. Because of this misunderstanding and the feeling of dissatisfaction with the set rules of this formal organization will end to unwanted reactions.

As mentioned earlier, formal organizations usually have set standards for how they run their business. Rules and regulations are keys to an organized environment. A bureaucratic organization, for instance, usually runs in the form of a pyramid. In this layout, every person will always have a supervisor to answer to. The few number of supervisors are located at the top of the pyramid, while the employees are located at the bottom. This pyramid gives structure to an organization. Every person has a job, and is expected to carry out the job to its full expectations.

Meanwhile, the relationships between co-workers are kept to a minimal. This is to minimize emotion and maximize work. The majority of communication is done via e-mail, telephone, or letters. Everything within a bureaucratic organization is clearly defined with no room for interpretation.

With the above scenario, individual at the bottom would certainly fed up and easily got dissatisfied. But the organization doesn’t always have to look after what these individuals satisfaction. They should come relatively on the middle to organize thing and to change it which is beneficial to both parties. For instance, they must agree on some things incremental to the achievement of goals, like going half-way. But of course, these two should come up with mutual adjustments.

Today, a new work method has come to be called an open, flexible organization . The bureaucratic pyramid has been flattened to put everyone on a more even scale. Creative freedom, competitive work teams, and flexibility are the new standards for the modern work environment. The characteristics of a large organization are now being converted to represent those of a small group. These changes include, instead of every member having a specialized task, the whole group has a common goal in which they are working towards. Instead of specific rules, informal, general guidelines are established. Instead of hiring people for the work that they can do, people are being hired for the ideas that they come up with. Quick e-mails are being replaced by group meetings. Because of the group setting, relationships in the office are becoming primary rather than secondary. People care about what the other has to say, and instead of viewing each other as competitors , they are viewing each other as colleagues. This is because each person has their own part to add to the group.

These new work methods do not apply to everyone. Highly skilled and trained employees are reaping the benefits of a new wave of creative freedom. However, lower level employees are not. They in fact, are actually working harder than ever. The bureaucratic way of work is still in place for them. They continue to have supervisors’ way above them, while they remain on the bottom. Fast food chains, retail stores, telemarketing are all fields that are growing as well. Unfortunately, selling hamburgers has no room for creative thought. That is why people are still suffering from bureaucratic organizations.

HOW HARDWIRED IS HUMAN BEHAVIOR?ss_blog_claim=f50b1c38e3bdae188352a25765b0a531

Human behavior is quiet too broad and too diverse to fully understand ones actions and character. It is a collection of behaviors exhibited by us, human beings, and influenced by culture, attitudes, emotions, values ethics, authority, rapport, hypnosis, persuasion, coercion and or genetics.

Corollary, human behavior refers to our action or reactions usually in relation to our environment. This can be conscious or unconscious, overt or covert, and voluntary or involuntary. In animals, behavior is controlled by the endocrine system and the nervous system. The complexity of the behavior of an organism is related to the complexity of its nervous system. Generally, organisms with complex nervous systems have a greater capacity to learn new responses and thus adjust their behavior. Human behavior  can be common, unusual, acceptable, or unacceptable. Humans evaluate the acceptability of behavior using social norms and regulate behavior by means of social control.

Moreover, there’s no such two humans behave exactly the same. It’s just like our finger prints. About more than billions of people living never have had exactly the same finger prints with one another. Perhaps, similarity of those will immerge but never the word “exactly the same” will come out. For instance, twins can be more likely similar to each other when it comes to physique, voice and etc. but their behaviors are not alike with each other. This will explain how hardwired human behavior is.

The facts will tell us how be are not related with each other. Each of us grow into a different world, a different environment. We speak and write different languages, we feel and taste in different ways. This how diverse our environment and so as we.

With regards to our own individual behaviors, we are sometimes unlikely to know and understand the way we act, understand and react to other factors that directly affect us. we, sometimes, see ourselves in deep thought thinking and asking why we act like this and like that, why we behave so abruptly dangerous. This only signifies how perplex to identify, understand and control our respective behaviors.

Thus, these behaviors sometimes lead us in chaos since misunderstanding will try pop up. And so even if understanding ones behavior is so perplex but still we must strive to at least understand a part of it, otherwise, we’ll live in chaos reaping its result.

Not in every day of our life we encounter people with similar behaviors. Most of the time, different personalities and different attitudes sum up together to make our lives more challenging and difficult once in a while.
